The board has directed the administration to develop a plan that meets the following criteria:
1. Balances enrollment with attention to school capacities providing room for growth.

2. Maximizes academic strength of our three high schools and seven middle schools.

3. Minimizes the following:

  • Transportation time and costs
  • Non-contiguous boundaries
  • Splits that any one student would experience

There are several important upcoming dates:
February 7th: end of the time period to send specific boundary proposals to Deputy Superintendant Dr. Kathryn Birkett
February 12th: Administration to distribute its boundary recommendations through 204 E-News, posted on the district’s website (we will also post it on the 204update.com website).
