Real Estate Impact History
No one can guarantee what will happen to real estate values in the new Metea High School area, especially since boundaries are not even defined yet.  In 1996 and 1997, when Neuqua High School was in planning and then building and then opening stages – the affect on real estate was measurable.

When details and location and boundaries of the new high school were announced, many wondered what would be the impact.  When Nequa HS was first established in 1997, average sale price of homes in Neuqua’s area increased from 1996 by average of 16.3%.  Naperville as a whole increased 6.7%,  so one could surmise a positive impact of almost 10%.

The area of Metea High School is more developed, so the impact will be much easier to measure.  In 2007, 253 single family detached homes sold, average sale price of $411,087 ranging from $174,000 to $675,000.  In 2007, 540 attached homes sold, (condo, town home) with average sale price of $203,524, ranging from $82,500 to $499,900.

Time will tell the affect of Metea High School – most experts predict it will be a positive impact.
